Connecting hearts and minds with SEL

Social and emotional learning (SEL) is a set of skills that help us manage our feelings and the feelings of others. It also helps us establish and maintain healthy relationships, discover who we are, make good decisions, and much more. These skills fall into five core competencies.

When our clients weave SEL into their products, content, and communications they care for the whole child. This differentiates them from other kids brands.

It also engages kids on another level. Using SEL to tell stories, invent characters, and design experiences makes them relatable and relevant to kids. And that is what makes them meaningful.

What’s it got to do with my brand?

SEL helps us think, feel, and view the world like kids do. By connecting with their experience, your products, content, and communications will feel relatable, relevant, and ultimately more meaningful to them.

It also empowers you to actively promote human skills undermined by technologies like social media and AI. More than ever, kids need support making friends, being a team player, overcoming setbacks, building self-confidence, and empathizing with others.

These are all skills you can spark when you’re guided by SEL. Of course, not everything has to serve a purpose. But when the chance is there, you make the most of it.
