LEGO® Sustainability

BACKGROUND

How can sustainability become a story kids want to engage with?

The LEGO Group wanted to show how they take responsibility for the planet and make their sustainability commitments visible to children in an engaging, age-appropriate way.

We turned these often invisible initiatives into an adventure kids could play along with. Using LEGO Play’s digital character Valentina, we created a mystery-solving story that invited kids to uncover LEGO’s sustainability secrets in the LEGO Play app available in 76 countries.

From storyboard to screen

We started by developing two story concepts rooted in mystery and discovery, before shaping one final narrative around Valentina’s quest to uncover LEGO’s sustainability efforts. Working closely with the LEGO Sustainability team, we translated their sustainability progress into moments of wonder, supported by scripts, storyboards, and animatics that evolved into a lively, kid-led adventure on LEGO Play.
